The immediate past governor of Benue State, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Suswam challenged his accusers to stop pointing accusing fingers and get down to work. The governor made this position known in his recent post on his personal facebook page. Hear him: "I did my best for Benue, I can only aspire to be better always and that's what leadership entails. When I assumed office as Governor of Benue state in 2007, there were obvious lapses, there were debts, unpaid salaries, contractual obligations, dilapidated infrastructure, a weak and an under enumerated civil service etc I didn't make excuses, I took it head on and in a short while there were visible changes in and around every urban centre, the new Ministry of rural developmen t and cooperatives we created made impact in the rural areas by providing electricity to over 100 communities in the first year alone.
