PDP IS THE ONLY PARTY THAT HAS DIRECTION FOR DEMOCRACY IN NIGERIA

December 29, 2015 Press Release PDP IS THE ONLY PARTY THAT HAS DIRECTION FOR DEMOCRACY IN NIGERIA Our attention has been drawn to several verbal attack and uncomplimentary remarks by some shameless individuals that the Peoples Democratic Party is dead and has since been buried in Nigeria political lexicon. We would have ignore these rabble rousers for what they are and their deficit of idea on what constitute an opposition government but we want to put the record straight that the Peoples Democratic Party is and remain the only political party in Nigeria with national interest as others are promoting ethnic agenda. The party in the last 16 years that it held sway to power at the center has embarked on laudable policies and programs that has direct effect on the lives of millions of Nigerians. It is therefore unfortunate that the highest beneficiaries of PDP administration are the same people who are running their mouth at every occasion to cast aspersion on the P...

APC WILL ONLY SUBSTITUTE AUDU DURING SUPPLEMENTARY ELECTION - AG SAYS

Kogi election: APC will only substitute Audu during supplementary election- Attorney General says The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, says for the inconclusive Kogi State governorship election, the APC will only need to substitute its candidate, Abubakar Audu, who died on Sunday. Malami said this while speaking at a seminar organised by the Nigerian Law Reform Commission on the reform of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (Establishment) Act in Abuja today November 24th. “The issue is very straightforward. OPINION: A CLARION CALL - UBONG DAVID

By Ubong David Within two weeks of his inauguration as the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has received bashing from many Nigerians especially from the camp of the new opposition party which am a strong member, the Peoples Democratic Party. Many political activists has emerged and more critics has resurface the social media. This is much expected as I earlier submitted due to what the former opposition party, the All Progressive Congress did to PDP led administration of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. When President Muhammadu Buhari was finally announced as the winner of the March 28 presidential election, thousand of PDP members whose present are dominant on social media also promised to retaliate. What we are experiencing in the first two weeks of President Muhammadu Buhari administration is a fulfillment of that promise and Nigerian should not be surprise on this development. MY OBSERVATION While many political activists has emerged, a pointer to the ...

SENATOR HELEN ESUENE, THE NELLIE TAYLOE ROSS OF AKWA IBOM STATE It was on November 4, 1924 that Nellie Tayloe Ross was duly elected as the first governor in the history of the United State of America after the death of her husband, William Bradford Ross on October 2, 1924 from a complication from an appendectomy. Born on November 29, 1876 in St. Joseph, Missouri, Nelly was the sixth child and first daughter of James Wynn Tayloe, a native of Stewart County, Tennessee, and his wife, Elizabeth Blair Green who owned a plantation on the Missouri River. In 1884, when Nellie Tayloe was seven years of age, her family moved to Miltonvale in Cloud County in northern Kansas. This relocation happened after their Andrew County home burned and the sheriff was about to foreclose on the property. After she graduated from Miltonvale High School in 1892, her family moved to Ohama, Nebraska. During this time she taught private piano lessons, and also attended a teacher-training college f...
