WHERE THEN IS JUSTICE? For 13 good years the people of Ikot Akpatek, Ikwe and Odio communities has been going through pains for neglect of NDDC Contractor who was contracted to construct IKOT AKPATEK-IKWE-ODIO ROAD awarded since 2002. All effort to persuade the Contractor, Worldwide Technologies Ltd and NDDC Management to leverage the affected communities by completing the road construction was in futility. The people of the three communities have lost over 6 lives at ITOKU BRIDGE alone and property (cars, motor bikes, food stuffs, building materials, etc) worth millions of Naira has been lost to the same bridge. CHIBOK GIRLS AND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MALALA;S VISIT TO NIGERIA

Chibok Girls And The Significance Of Malala's Visit To Nigeria By  Inibehe Effiong Contrary to the pessimistic and cynical views expressed by some Nigerians on the practical relevance and functional usefulness of the very historic visit to Nigeria by Malala Yousafzai, the home truth is that the struggle for the release of the over 200 Chibok girls from the excruciating captivity of Boko Haram has taken a new dimension. Born on 12 July, 1997, Malala Yousafzai, a spirited Pakistani teenager is a school pupil and education activist from the town of Mingora in the Swat District of Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. In the afternoon of Tuesday, 9 October, 2012, Malala had boarded her school bus when a gunman asked for Malala by name, pointed a Colt 45 at her and fired three shots, she survived. Her offence was defying the Taliban's ban on girls from attending school. That singular incident altered the status of Malala from a local Pakistani school ...

JONATHAN IN HIS DUTY TO RE-RUN FOR OFFICE

Jonathan In His Duty To Re- Run For Office NIGERIA JULY 13, 2014 - NO COMMENT By Ugorji O. Ugorji Sometimes in the life of a person or the history of a nation, a seemingly voluntary and personal choice or decision becomes a duty expected of the person or the nation by those whose lives will be affected regardless of what the decision is. In this piece, I suggest that in the personal life of President Goodluck Jonathan as we currently know it and in the unfolding history of the nation known today as Nigeria, the anxiously awaited decision of the President to run for re-election has assumed the status and stature of a duty to himself and to the nation. It is important to first visit the historic nature of the Jonathan presidency in order to develop a template for the arguments to follow: (1) He is the first elected President of Nigeria from a reportedly minority group (the Ijaw) in the Southern part of Nigeria, breaking the storied tripod political permutations bet...
