On behalf of the National Executive Committee, Local Government Chapters and entire members of Eket Senatorial District Youth Coalition (ESDYC), I heartily congratulate you, Mr. UDOM GABRIEL EMMANUEL as you added another year to your age.

Sir, barely one year ago, you were appointed the Secretary to AkwaIbom State Government by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of our dear state, Chief GodswillObotAkpabio, CON. Your appointment did not come to us as a surprise but was based on your competence and cognate experience in the management of human and financial resources which you have also brought to bear as the Secretary to AkwaIbom State Government. Your approach in rendering service to the people of our state is worthy of commendation.

At 48, your outstanding records of achievement is not only known within the State and nation but has also attracted international recognition. We congratulate you for giving us hope that one can attain to greater height in life with determination, hardwork and commitment to service. And as Harvey Firestone had reasoned that, “The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership,” we pray God in His wisdom to give you the enablement to administer more effective service to our people in consonance with the Uncommon Transformation drive of the present administration as witnessed in the past seven years.
It is on this premise that we join other well-meaning citizens of our state, well-wishers, admirers and men of goodwill to wish you a Happy Birthday and many Happy Returns.

AKWA IBOM CHILD RIGHTS LAW

The Akwa Ibom State Child Rights Law The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, on 5th December, 2008 signed the child rights act into law to protect the growth of perceptual, emotional, intellectual, and behavioural capabilities and functioning during childhood of Akwa Ibom children under 16 years. The law protects the Akwa Ibom child from birth to adolescence and up to 16 years such that the child is afforded the necessary protection and assistance so that it can fully assume its responsibilities within the community.
