"I will make concerted efforts to return the land and the people of Akwa Ibom State back to God Almighty. My Government shall, by the Grace of God, start by returning the people fully back to God Almighty and with policies of reintegration and sustainable development to create employment and erase poverty and hunger from the land through industrial and commercial revolutions. The actions demanded by the Lord God here are sincere, positive and heaven-bound types, not cosmetics or hypocrisy", Hon Udoh noted.
Hon Udoh noted that the state has enough resources to cater for the well being of the citizenry and pledged to ensure even distribution of the state common wealth and development to the length and breadth of the state.
"Akwa Ibom State has great potentials for developments, both in human and natural resources. Its oil, gas, lime and other mineral resources are second to none in the entire country. I intend, by the special grace of the Almighty God, to harness these resources for the betterment and full development of our State and its people", he said.
A man with immense administrative experience, Hon Udoh hopes to ensure that the dreams of the founding fathers of the state and the entire people of the state would be fully realized when he becomes governor. He said, "it was then the belief of every indigene of this State that within a short space of time, poverty and hunger would not be associated with our people given the huge natural and human resources it has been blessed with".
He recalled his glorious days as chairman of Eket LGA and noted that he would continue to bring joy and great service delivery as a hallmark of his leadership make up.
"During my short stay as the Executive Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, i.e., July 2008-September 2011, I did not disappoint the people of the area. I made sure all parts of the Local Government Area had the touch of my administration, through the provisions of dividends of democracy at that level. There are 11 (Eleven) political wards in Eket Local Government Area. I made sure that each of these political wards had a minimum of three physical, life-touching and life-enhancing projects sited in them during the short period of my administration. As a matter of fact, some of these political wards had five projects of the Council sited in them. The poor women traders in the markets of Eket have good testimonies to tell about my good governance during the period here under review", he recounted.
He promised to run an administration where every Akwa Ibom person is accord a pride of place. "I intend, by the Grace of God, to extend this lofty style of administration and governance to all parts of Akwa Ibom State in the execution of life-touching and life-enhancing projects to the people of this State during my tenure and get them out of poverty and hunger. I intend also to get all the people of this God’s own State to feel the impact of their God-given resources, for I know what their dire needs are since the State creation.
At the end the people of the State will realize their dreams of State creation. This style of touching the lives of all kinds of people and all parts of my constituency will be applied in administering Akwa Ibom State from my first day in office as the Governor of the State. Then, Eket Local Government Area was my primary constituency. This time around, the entire Akwa Ibom State, that is, all the 31 Local Government Areas will be my primary constituency and my style of administration will also apply to ensure that all the people and all parts of the State benefit from the governance. Surely, by the time my governance of Akwa Ibom State shall be ended, unemployment, poverty and hunger shall also be ended", he pledged.

Industrialization will provide ways to the employment of our teaming unemployed youths and graduates; will also create economic resources that will eradicate poverty and hunger from amongst our people. We will, as much as possible, partner with indigenous and foreign private industrialists and investors in our bid to establish industries to change the present civil service nature of our State to a vibrant commercial and industrial status. I shall give Akwa Ibom State a serious commercial and industrial face-lift during my administration and will leave the State much, much better than I will find it for the people of the State and our future generations to enjoy, if Christ will tarry to come".
On his education policy when he becomes governor, he said, "On education, we shall look critically to improving the quality of education offered to our young ones. To this end, my Government shall ensure that teachers’ training and re-training are given top priority in the scheme of things. We shall motivate the teachers by ensuring that their salaries and allowances and other incentives are always given priority attention. The current policy by the out-going government on free and compulsory education shall vigorously be pursued.
Greater attention shall also be given to training of skillful teachers for Special Education students.
