I AM MOTIVATED TO RUN, OKON IYANAM DECLARED

I belong to the ruling party, the PDP and I have been a member since 2009.
I am motivated to serve and to contribute my modest abilities towards the sustainable development and modernization of our state; to sustain the current transformation agenda and
to transport it to the next and more critical stage of industrialization, agricultural commercialization and the achievement of revenue security.
I believe I have that experience and exposure which match this next-stage expectation.
In the past couple of months, I have traversed the length and breadth of our State and I am a witness to the very important work that the current administration has done to bring development to the people.
But then, government is a continuum, much like a never ending relay race. You run your segment competently and carefully hand over to a successor who takes the race another positive step forward.
Governor Akpabio has done tremendously well.
But the next stage has to be implemented by someone who constitutionally cannot be him, and so, he must hand over.
I see myself competent and capable and I am prepared psychologically, mentally and physically to assume the responsibilities of leadership as the next Governor of our great state.
This magazine sets forth my experiences, my thoughts and my proposals for a safe, secure and prosperous future for Akwa Ibom State.

AKWA IBOM CHILD RIGHTS LAW

The Akwa Ibom State Child Rights Law The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, on 5th December, 2008 signed the child rights act into law to protect the growth of perceptual, emotional, intellectual, and behavioural capabilities and functioning during childhood of Akwa Ibom children under 16 years. The law protects the Akwa Ibom child from birth to adolescence and up to 16 years such that the child is afforded the necessary protection and assistance so that it can fully assume its responsibilities within the community. ABEL DAMINA IS NOW FROM ITU LGA OF AKWA IBOM STATE

Owing to his steadfastness and commitment to reorienting the minds of the people of Akwa Ibom State since the late 80's through sound Gospel teachings, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has directed that a certificate of origin from Itu Local Government Area be issued to Dr. Abel Damina to henceforth authenticate his stay in Akwa Ibom state as an indigene.
