Blessing Okagbare Breaks 12-Year World Record To Win 100m Gold In Glasgow

Nigerian athlete Blessing Okagbare won the gold medal in the Women’s 100m race at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday evening. She broke Bahamian sprint athlete Debbie Ferguson’s 12-year record of 10.91 seconds by setting a new one at 10.85 seconds.
25-year-old Okagbare beat Jamaica's veteran athlete Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart who won the silver and bronze respectively. Campbell-Brown finished at 11.02 seconds while Stewart finished at 11.07 seconds.20th Commonwealth Games - Day 5: Athletics
