PLOT TO IMPEACH OBAMA WILL FAIL

Why I Really Hope Republicans Try to Impeach President Obama

president-obama-11Essentially since President Obama was elected, Republicans have been trying to find a way to get him kicked out of office.  At first he wasn’t a “real American.”  That nonsense mostly faded a few years back.  Though sadly, many Republicans still doubt that he’s an actual American citizen.
But mostly it’s been talk of impeachment.  I’ve honestly forgotten more reasons conservatives have given as to why he should be impeached than I can even remember.
Though I don’t think a day goes by where I don’t see some conservative, on some source of media, suggest that impeachment is either an option or what they believe should happen.
And I’m at a point now to where I say bring it on.  Stop talking about it and actually go through with it.  If he’s been so “tyrannical and unconstitutional,” then what the hell are they waiting for?
Oh, I know, the midterm elections.
See, according to a recent poll, the vast majority of Americans don’t believe President Obama should be impeached.
Republicans are worried that by going through with impeachment proceedings, it’s going to turn off independent voters and hurt them during this year’s midterm elections.
It’s something Jon Stewart recently mocked, saying, “That’s how you know all this talk of tyranny is bullsh*t.  When your main concern when you’re deposing a tyrant is how it will affect your party’s chances in the upcoming midterm elections, that’s not tyranny.”
But I really do hope that they try to impeach him for two main reasons:
  1. It’s going to make them look ridiculous because most Americans don’t support it.
  2. It’s not going to accomplish anything because even if he is impeached, he won’t be convicted in the Senate.  So Republicans will just look like a bunch of fools playing partisan politics with the taxpayers money to pander to their tea party voters.
Then there’s the added bonus of pointing out how pathetic Republicans behave whenever they don’t control the White House considering this would be the second straight Democratic president that they impeached – even though the vast majority of Americans opposed impeachment.
It’s why I always laugh when I hear Republicans say they’re “listening to the American people.”  Please.
The vast majority of Americans:
  • Support raising the minimum wage.
  • Think we need to pass immigration reform.
  • Want universal background checks on all gun purchases.
  • Think same-sex marriage should be legal.
  • Oppose impeaching President Obama.
Issues on which most Republicans support the exact opposite.  So when they say they’re “listening to the American people,” they’re really only listening to the small minority of far-right leaning conservatives who they’re forced to pander to out of fear that they might face a primary opponent the next time they’re up for election.
So, Republicans, I’m begging you to try to impeach President Obama.
Put your party’s ridiculousness on full display once again like it was when Republicans held our debt ceiling hostage or shut down our government.
But to grasp just how pathetic the GOP is, and how nothing really ever changes with these clowns, look no further than the 90′s.  You know, the last time we had a Democrat in the White House.
Because it’s essentially the same crap they’re pulling now.  Back then Republicans also shut down the government, then threatened to (and eventually did) impeach a twice elected Democratic president.
Republicans are essentially nothing more than petulant children throwing a hissy fit because they’re not getting their way, and going through with impeachment proceedings against President Obama would prove that point once again – loud and clear.

AKWA IBOM CHILD RIGHTS LAW

The Akwa Ibom State Child Rights Law The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, on 5th December, 2008 signed the child rights act into law to protect the growth of perceptual, emotional, intellectual, and behavioural capabilities and functioning during childhood of Akwa Ibom children under 16 years.
