AKWA IBOM DELEGATES TO MMG INAUGURATION

The Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria was founded on 8th May, 2010 by Members to harness the inert potentials of this caliber of leadership in Nigeria. In the forum are men and women of worth who had held the position of Deputy Governor in various states of the federation irrespective of party affiliations.

Drawing strength and legitimacy from section 40 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the forum’s objectives include encouraging highest ethical values in governance; as well as showcasing potentials of its members in advancing Nigeria’s greatest good. As a result, the forum aims to lend support to worthy aspirations of its members into positions or offices of responsibility in the land.

As concerned citizens of Nigeria, members having considered in-depth, the tr
ansformation message of one of its own, Mr President, DrGoodluckEbele Jonathan, GCFR, believe that this represents the needed catalyst to the change Nigeria needs. For this purpose, Mass Movement for Goodluck 2015 was born in August 2013 to support the transformation agenda and ensure that it works. With headquarters in FCT-Abuja, MMG maintains conspicuous presence in virtually every state of the federation and the diaspora. Through this presence we have been able to know that despite propaganda efforts of the opposition, the average Nigerian, indeed, passionately loves the transformation agenda; and Mr President, the Archtype of Democracy and Transformation in Africa.
Structure

MMG is headed by a National Coordinator, who doubles as the Director General of Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria; an experienced technocrat, who is equally rugged, having been schooled in practical grassroots politics. Directly under him are directors in charge of various directorates; and secretariat staff. These represent the core drivers that keep the engine of MMG running efficiently at the right speed.
At the geo-political zones, states, Local Government Areas and ward levels, there are equally coordinators with their several executive committees ensuring the delivery of the transformation message down the line. There are also several other patrons and members of the board of trustees, elders committee and business forum.
MMG’s management structure is democratic in nature and maintains the federal character principle at all times. In addition, there are standing committees responsible for strategies, planning and several other assignments for the advancement of the mass movement.

EFREN PENAFLORIDA - SOCIAL WORKER AND TEACHER

Efren’s Penaflorida – Social Worker and Teacher Efren PeƱaflorida, Jr. sports no cape. He has no superpowers. You would neither throw him a second glance nor even notice him in a big crowd. There is really nothing special about Efren except his unparalleled dedication to reforming kids in their poverty-stricken community in Cavite, Philippines.Efren PeƱaflorida, Jr.’s sanity was questioned when people first saw him going around the neighborhood pushing his improvised cart loaded with food, books, paper, pencils, and other things you would commonly see in a classroom. Why, Efren goes around the neighborhood pushing a mobile classroom to peddle the love for education. He left his well-paying job as a private school teacher to devote all of his time and effort to his Kariton Klasrum project while his neighbors mock him.To make matters worse, his parents and brother did not see the point in his earnestness to get out-of-school youths interested in going back to school. For a family s...
