A Heartily Congratulation to a Philanthropist Par Excellence

The Management Team of EXCEPTIONAL MAGAZINE will lead other lovers of children to visit Special Children Centre, IBB Avenue, Uyo to commemorate 55 birthday celebration of Obong Umana Okon Umana, former Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government and Gubernatorial Aspirant for 2015.


The visit is to fulfill the promise that the Publisher of Exceptional Magazine, Ubong David made in first visit to the Children Home in company of The Charity Tour of E01 Magazine to mark the 54th Birthday of Umana Okon Umana led by Anietie James Ekah, Asteriod Bassey and Comedian Sir James. Being amazed by the children praises to God wholeheartedly not minding their condition, Ubong David promised to revisit them again to inspired them to greatness with information that will change their mindset. 

In our presence society today, it is very sympathetic to see young people who are future leaders to be labeled by parents and some churches as witches. As a result of this, they are subjected to all inhuman treatment and are being exposed to dangers. With the different Children Home spread across the entire state, our organization therefore deem it necessary to embark on a statewide Children Motivational Campaign titled “EVERY CHILD IS A HERO PROJECT TOUR” to commemorate your 55th birthday celebration. The project is aim at inspiring and motivating children in Akwa Ibom State especially those at the Special Children’s Home to realize who they are and maximize their hidden potential.

MISSION
To inspire children and teenagers to become responsible members of the society and discourage all forms of inhuman treatment against children.


GOAL
Our primary goal is to discover and encourage the potential in young people.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
1.     To showcase the potential of young people and their role to advance the cause of humanity.
2.     To encourage young people especially the abandoned children that they can rise beyond their circumstances and influence society positively.
3.     To see young people discover, develop and maximize their hidden talents and also improve their self-esteem.
4.     To encourage society to invest in young people especially the girl-child education.
5.     To promote Child Right Law and advocate for its full implementation.
6.     To encourage parents and other stakeholders to take advantage of the Free and Compulsory Education Policy of Akwa Ibom State Government.

AKWA IBOM CHILD RIGHTS LAW

The Akwa Ibom State Child Rights Law The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, on 5th December, 2008 signed the child rights act into law to protect the growth of perceptual, emotional, intellectual, and behavioural capabilities and functioning during childhood of Akwa Ibom children under 16 years.
