Golden Heart Foundation

An understanding that a nation is as strong as its human resource and their value system led to the formation of Golden Heart Foundation to provide leadership education which is equipping the heart (character); head (intellect); and hands (skill). We focus on the personal development of the youths while modeling the right leadership path through mentorship; who in turn would impact the different spheres of the economy. We believe that the greatest driver for National Transformation is inculcating the spirit of patriotism, respect for moral and ethical values in Nigerian youths and that every Nigerian youth has what it takes to make a difference in the society because the power to transform our society lies within our ability and readiness to engineer change equipping the next generation of leaders.

  WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
GHF’s approach to nation building and transformation is an all encompassing approach through Training, Information, Mentorship and Research.
We have an array of projects professionally designed to equips the youths in different areas according to their passion or area of interest. This would aids the exploration and development of different spheres of society, thereby promoting a diversified economy.
The projects also focuses on personal and national transformation in the different spheres of the society.
We don’t only focus on skill acquisition, health services and poverty alleviation, we go the extra mile to include models to build the youths through leadership education, mind revolution, and empowerment to produce not rulers but servant leaders of tomorrow.
We believe that people are either influenced or mentored directly or indirectly by role models. Therefore, GHF’s mentorship program seeks to model the right path in leadership and career development, promote personal development and social responsibility.
 BELIEFS:
Every Nigerian has an inherent potential to do great things that will influence Nigeria Positively, hence Nigeria can actualize the vision 202020 only when the youths are empowered with knowledge, skills and right values to take up their daily challenges.

EFREN PENAFLORIDA - SOCIAL WORKER AND TEACHER

Efren’s Penaflorida – Social Worker and Teacher Efren Peñaflorida, Jr. sports no cape. He has no superpowers. You would neither throw him a second glance nor even notice him in a big crowd. There is really nothing special about Efren except his unparalleled dedication to reforming kids in their poverty-stricken community in Cavite, Philippines.Efren Peñaflorida, Jr.’s sanity was questioned when people first saw him going around the neighborhood pushing his improvised cart loaded with food, books, paper, pencils, and other things you would commonly see in a classroom. Why, Efren goes around the neighborhood pushing a mobile classroom to peddle the love for education. He left his well-paying job as a private school teacher to devote all of his time and effort to his Kariton Klasrum project while his neighbors mock him.To make matters worse, his parents and brother did not see the point in his earnestness to get out-of-school youths interested in going back to school. For a family s...
