Legal Defence and Assistant Project (LEDAP) is pleased to invite applications from hardworking individuals for an internship positions to develop their skills whilst assisting our programmes.  The followings positions exist.

1.     Human Security Programmes Research  Intern

Job Description

The intern will provide basic support on LEDAP’s research on extra judicial killings and summary executions on print and electronic media. Other duties includes providing meeting support; Follow up with institutions and families of victims; Writing and editing LEDAP’s impunity reports and ensuring reports are printed timely; Assisting in organizing press conferences, reports and media briefs; Publish research materials for newsletters and other information brochure; Carry out other duties as be assigned by LEDAP’s National Coordinator or its Executive Programmes Director on the organizations Human Security Programme

Qualification requirements: Interested applicants must possess-

·        Minimum of an OND (Ordinary National Diploma) or its equivalent in any subject.
·        Strong communication and writing skills.
·        Must be computer literate and have zeal to learn with  meticulous attention to details
·        A good team player and work with minimal supervision.
·        Have a pro-active attitude and zeal to learn

Location – Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

2.     ICLE Intern

Job Description

The intern will provide support to Director of Trainings, LEDAP’s Institute of Continuing Legal Education varying from- Assisting in Faculty meetings; Coordinating and advertising for trainings; Collating and printing of training materials; Correspond and liaise with faculty members;   Support the director in analyzing training outcomes, conducting research, administering questionnaires and surveys, and thereafter develop analysis.  Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the Director,  LEDAP’s National Coordinator or its Executive Programmes Director on the organizations Human Security Programme

Qualification requirements: Interested applicants must possess-

·        Minimum of an OND (Ordinary National Diploma) or its equivalent in any subject.

Remuneration
Competitive, in consideration of what obtains in the nonprofit sector in Lagos.

AKWA IBOM CHILD RIGHTS LAW

The Akwa Ibom State Child Rights Law The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, on 5th December, 2008 signed the child rights act into law to protect the growth of perceptual, emotional, intellectual, and behavioural capabilities and functioning during childhood of Akwa Ibom children under 16 years. ABEL DAMINA IS NOW FROM ITU LGA OF AKWA IBOM STATE
