MR. EKANEM BROWN
EKANEM ANDREW BROWN popularly known as Udo Ikpe Browndy is an ICT Consultant, he hails from Mkpat Enin Urban in Mkpat Enin LGA. He was born on the 11th of September, 1977. He Attended Army Transferred Primary School and later graduated to Demonstration Secondary School both in Jos, Plateau State. He completed his Secondary education in Community Secondary School Mkpat Enin after which he proceeded to University of Uyo for a Diploma Program in Science and Technology. He went further to study Physics Electronics and graduated from the University of Calabar. 

Mr. Ekanem did not stop his quest for knowledge and professionalism as he registered and took the prestigious professional examination of Nigerian Institute of Science and Technology which he passed with flying colours. Presently,he is an Associate Member of The Nigerian Institute of Science and Technology. In addition to this, he has a Post Graduate Degree in Management (PGDM) from Benue State University.

Brown Ekanem has held several leadership positions like: the Secretary Science Technology Students Association University of  Uyo, ELECO Chairman NAMES WORLDWIDE, The Secretary General of West African Science Technology Students     (this election took place in LEGON University in Ghana with five other West African Countries Participating), to mention a few .

After his University Education, Ekanem Brown decided to go into business and started MIDI Nig. Ltd in Calabar an ICT company which he started with some of his friends, this company is currently in full operation in Calabar, He went ahead to start another  company; YOU-NIK Nig Ltd with his wife.YOU-NIK Nig Ltd currently has branches in Akwa Ibom, Nasarawa and Abuja, this company is into ICT, EDUCATION and MEDIA and has developed softwares such as virtual tutorials and School Record Management softwares for about five Universities and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) among others.   

The educational arm of his company - YOU-NIK ACADEMY NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL – is doing very well as pupils of the school represented Nasarawa State in the 2013 Science Teachers Association (STAN) competition sponsored by NNPC and Exon Mobil and came 2nd in oral quiz nationwide, the school was the overall best in the Africa ICT Olypaid competition 2014. His companies employ over 120 staff some of which are Mkpat Enin LGA indigenes. Due to his entrepreneurial strides, the Federal Government of Nigeria through the YOUWIN Program nominated Mr. Ekanem Brown as a MENTOR for Youths Participating in the Youth Enterprises with Innovation (YOUWIN) Program.

Mr. Ekanem Brown has been involved in many charity programs for his community between 2006 to 2011 and his projects include:
1.      The Scholarship award for 20 youths in his community in computer training.
2.      Skills Acquisition of 12 Youths in Mkpat Enin LGA.
3.   Scholarship Training for Youths presented by 5 different churches and 5 Village heads in Advanced Computer.
4.      Business Startup support to 10 Youths in Mkpat Enin LGA.

5.      In 2013 Mr. Brown Ekanem Founded and Registered a Charity Organization called PROJECT, Develop Mkpat Enin (www.facebook.com/projectdevelopmkpatenin). This organization is Caters for the Unsupported Youths, Women and Children. This Organization has provided FREE JAMB Registration to Youths in Mkpat Enin LGA and has provided Skills Acquisition to over 30 youths (2 from each ward and 5 from UkpumMinya Ward 4) at the completion of their skills Acquisition, all the participating youths will be provided with all the financial resources to kick start their businesses.

Due to his contribution to the growth of Mkpat Enin Local Government through the Empowerment of youths and women, He was awarded the UKO MKPARAWA UKPUM MINYA by the Clan Head and the Ukpum Minya Clan Council of Chiefs.
