MY EARNEST DESIRE IS TO KEEP EKET CLEAN - HON. ARCHIBONG

The newly inaugurated Transition Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, Hon. Frank Archibong has promised that his administration will focus on making Eket Urban City the most cleanest in Akwa Ibom State. The Chairman made this known through his numerous thread on social media appealing to the people of the city to help him to make the city restore back to its lost glory as the cleanest local government in Akwa Ibom State. "Happy Sunday everyone. My promise to make Eket a clean and healthy city can only be achieved through your support and co-operation. HELP me ..My earnest desire is to keep Eket clean.
Together we can do it, help me to help you for clean living is healthy living. EKET CLEAN CRUSADE begins"....he submitted.

If you are a frequent visitor to Eket Urban City, you will observed that the city has been turned to something else and people dumped refuse anywhere without recourse to the effect that such actions may have caused the resident. The drainage system has been totally blocked by heap of refuse especially the front of Eket Motor Park and the area surrounding Urua Nka Market. On a raining day, the street is littered with refuse and this has damaging effect on the people. It was on this premise that Eagle Builders Foundation, an NGO that wrote to the then Chairman of Council, Hon. Aniekan Akpan why there is urgent need to address the environmental situation of the city but all was falling on deaf ears. The letter was followed with an open letter but still nothing was done about it. With the promised made by the newly inaugurated Transition Chairman to correct this anomaly, Eagle Builders Foundation with Digital Edge are solidly in support of the Chairman on this very important exercise and will assist in mobilizing the people to join hands with the Chairman to make Eket Urban City clean and safe for all residence and visitors alike.

We say congratulation to the Chairman for embarking on this crusade and we are ready to collaborate with the Council to ensure that the campaign is a huge success.Eket Clean Crusade is our project.

The Akwa Ibom State Child Rights Law The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, on 5th December, 2008 signed the child rights act into law to protect the growth of perceptual, emotional, intellectual, and behavioural capabilities and functioning during childhood of Akwa Ibom children under 16 years.
