I took time to read at least 70% of the write-ups and reports of Akwa Ibom Election Tribunal sitting at Abuja. Though the position canvassed or agitated by both camp are in order but one thing that APC camp has failed to admit is that Akwa Ibom State is a stronghold of PDP and there is no reason whatsoever for them to upturn the mandate of Akwa Ibom people to their favour.
Presently, the state has produced 3 Senators, 10 House of Representatives members, 25 out of 26 members of the State House of Assembly, 31 Transition Committee Chairmen, members of the Transition Committee numbering about 300, etc all from the PDP. How do you win a re-run in such a state?
In case there is a re-run which may not be possible with the quality of evidence presented at the tribunal that there was election in Akwa Ibom State which some of the PW admitted during their testimonies and cross-examination, my brothers and sisters from APC in the state has forgotten that a PDP member and Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aniekan Uko will preside as the Acting Governor.
With the Acting Governor, 3 Senators, 10 House of Representatives members, 25 House of Assembly members, 31 Transition Committee Chairmen, Transition Committee members, 31 Chapter Chairmen, Chapter Secretaries, party Elders, Youth leaders, affiliated groups in support of Divine Mandate, women groups, etc, the chance of APC to win a re-run is very slim.
Is not about long articles but the evidences at the tribunal speak volume and you don't need a soothsayer to tell you the outcome of this exercise. My pains is the millions of Naira that would've improve the quality of life of Akwa Ibom people going down the drain.
I don't want to come in again on this issue. The hand writing is boldly written.
