INIBEHE EFFIONG: 2015 was an eventful year for the young lawyer as he grew in relevance with his activism. Some of his opinions were used as references in resolving some of Nigeria's top political dilemmas. Ferocious in his criticism of the PDP government, the courageous and fearless Effiong spearheaded many human rights campaigns/cases.

GODSWILL AKPABIO: This man made many headlines this year, both for the right and wrong reasons. From being heavily criticized/opposed for his support for Udom Emmanuel to become his successor, to his unthinkable elevation as the Minority Leader of the Senate, his widely publicized car crash, his invitation by the EFCC, and his victory at the Court of Appeal, the former Chairman of PDP Governor's Forum came out waxing stronger.

Umana Okon Umana: Strong, dogged and determined, the former Secretary to the Government of Akwa Ibom State who is the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the April 11, 2015 election in his state led the calls for the cancellation of the election. He had his way at the Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal also granted his prayers.

Onofiok Luke: Enjoys massive followership and goodwill from people, especially the youths. 2015 was a redefining year in the political career of the former Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament. His re-election into the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly was more than herculean but he made it. Forces allegedly ganged up against his nomination as Speaker of the House of Assembly on June 9, but six months after being denied the position, he still succeeded in rising to become the number 3 man in his state. Jumped many political hurdles, fought many wars, learnt several lessons, influenced the lives of a whole lot of people, developed himself and had a massive elevation late in the year.

Uffot Ekong: Ufot Ekong is the Nigerian wonder student, who graduated with a First Class degree and as the best overall student from Tokai University in Tokyo, Japan. Ekong is the the first Nigerian to achieve the aforementioned feat since 1965, and also solved a mathematical equation that could not be solved 30 yrs ago in his first semester. Also, Ekong won a Japanese language award for foreigners, in addition to two patents under his name for developing an electric car. He is currently working with Nissan.

Udom Emmanuel: Another major headliner in the year under review. Against all odds including stiff opposition from APC, the ruling party (at the centre), he was elected Governor of Nigeria's oil rich State, Akwa Ibom. Though his victory has been challenged with the Court of Appeal nullifying his election, he strongly believes he has the mandate of his people.

Vincent Enyeama: After 13 years playing for the nation's men senior national team, Super Eagles, the former number one goalie and captain retired from international football. His retirement came after a feud with Coach of the team, Sunday Oliseh. Enyeama who still plays of Lille of France amassed over a century of caps in the green and white shirt, winning several trophies and individual honors.
