MARTHA UDOM VISITS EKET COUNCIL

… AS WIDOW AND THE LESS PRIVILEGE WERE EMPOWERED BY THE WIFE OF CHAIRMAN TRANSITION COMMITTEE

Eket Local Government Council was agog on Monday 21 December as the wife of the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel visited the area. The wife of the governor was on a thank you visit to the people of Eket Local Government Area for standing with her to elect her husband as the governor of Akwa Ibom State. Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel reiterated the commitment of the present administration in the state to change the life of the people of Eket Local Government and urged them not to waver in their support to the governor to succeed in office. 

Responding, the Chairman Transition Committee in Eket Local Government Area, Hon. Frank Archibong thanked Her Excellency for her visit to the people of Eket. The Chairman used the occasion to thank the governor for appointing Eket indigene into sensitive position in his administration and promised that the people of Eket Local Government Area will continue to give the governor 100 percent support to succeed in office. 

Also, the wife of the Chairman Transition Committee, Mrs Bright Frank Archibong thanked the wife of the governor for the visit and pledged that Eket women will always be on the vanguard to mobilize support for Her Excellency and the governor. The wife of the Chairman Transition Committee donates items including sewing machines, hair dryers, etc to the women and less privilege in the area.
