The issue of development is anchored on consistent Government policies, qualitative leadership and no state or government not even a country can truly claim to be serious about this catalyst of governance until it tackles it from the grassroots;
"Jerry EDOHO".
The catalyst needed in this context to aid the people move from hunger to satiation, from ignorance to enlightenment, from disease to sound health, from friction to harmony, from rage to an atmosphere of peace with foresight and insight of visible industrialisation is UDOM EMMANUEL. Eket Senatorial District with its mammoth wealth in oil and natural resources is encompass in vast gloomy geography of apparent neglect to the world of restiveness and hunger due to " ineffective leadership and nepotism" .
Akwa Ibom State having three senatorial Districts ( Uyo, Ikot Ekpene & Eket ) had carefully provided the tenure of occupancy of Hill Top Mansion with Uyo Senatorial District having occupied the Hill Top Mansion by Arch. Obong Attah- (1999-2007), Ikot-Ekpene Senatorial District by HE: Chief (Dr) Godswill Obot Akpabio,CON (2007-2015) whom today is representing the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in the red chambers...Why then aspersions on His Excellency UDOM EMMANUEL who was widely accepted and elected by Akwa Ibom people under the principle of equity and fairness to ensure Eket Senatorial District takes their turn ( 2015-2023)?
If UDOM EMMANUEL is illegally not allowed to complete eight years tenure of Eket Senatorial District as the principle of equity and fairness dictates, where then could "EQUITY AND FAIRNESS" be placed?
If the above posits is true, is it equitable and fair for Eket Senatorial District to continually breed and sustain the State with its resources?.....the answers are explicit.
If I should borrow from the word of a great philosopher "Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher...for good or for evil, it teaches the whole people by its example.Clack Tom. C. (1961)."
We are almost into a season of unprecedented barbarity, fanatical horde and unconscionable dimension in political contradictions, ethnic disparities, marginalisation and policies of alienation; our evolving cause of calculation is obvious that some ground-clearing falls within the responsibility and capability of individuals and groups; and as such, the entirety of EKET SENATORIAL DISTRICT LEADERS & YOUTHS requires an overhauling and a drastic reevaluation of our fundamental transformational values, norms, ethics and democratic etiquette to ensure UDOM EMMANUEL remains our Governor.
It is noted that "development hardly come when a state is governed by a sadist, whose perception about development is often centered at nepotism and egoism" as characterised in other candidates who contested against the PDP candidate; even as we all awaits the 2015 Gubernatorial Supreme Court bell to rang echo....with several known and unknown dancers roaming the streets, waging wars of political calumny , piloting sadists coup, their posters and foot soldiers bargaining for terms of compromise and soliciting for favour; We in Eket Senatorial District are bold to reaffirm our position that we want a Governor from Eket Senatorial District with a golden heart as witness by the incumbent Government of today lead by His. Excellency DEACON UDOM EMMANUEL.
UDOM EMMANUEL is a leader who is imbued with rare and indefatigable paragon of virtues. UDOM EMMANUEL has reevaluated himself with a firm assurance in listening to the cry of the Youths of Akwa Ibom State without bias as a panacea to creat indelible vast legacies in industrialisation void of personal interest or affiliations.
This rare touch of goodwill has really exemplified UDOM EMMANUEL as the only one who is possess with a distinct leadership criteria in upgrading Akwa Ibom State forward economically, socially and politically to a zenith even the opposition will celebrate flowery.
In corroborating to actualize this aged long dream of getting emancipated from total negligence and isolation, Our pivotal task is to enlighten the people on the need to always be morally, ethical and socially responsible in every aspect of their endeavours for a possibly harmonious co-existence of a greater Akwa Ibom.
As the clock ticks and time fast running, we the youths of Eket Senatorial District are on the watch and we are ready to challenge the antagonist of equity and fairness in the calculation of who and which zone is to occupy HILLTOP MANSION till 2023.
