ABIA HOSTS ESIT EKET IN HONOUR OF UDOM’S VICTORY

The Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Project Monitoring, Pastor Isaiah Abia hosted the people of Ward 4 in Esit Eket in honour of the victory of Governor Udom Emmanuel at the Supreme Court. Pastor Abia who was accompanied to the Victory Meeting with his wife, Evang. (Hon) Ekaette Isaiah Abia thanked God for the reaffirmation of Divine Mandate of Akwa Ibom people. The SA took the people to memory lane when he approached then SSG, Mr. Udom Emmanuel within his three months in office to unveil to him what God has reveal to him. Reluctantly, he obliged and the rest is history.

Pastor Abia thanked the people of Esit Eket especially Ward 4 which comprises of 13 villages for standing by him to delivered Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as the governor of Akwa Ibom State and promised to use his position to impact positively on the lives of his people. He reiterated the need for the people of Ward 4 to unite so as to bring development to the area and urged the youth to shun violence and learn trade so as to benefit from government programs. He advised the women to form a Cooperative Society where he will donate money to better their needs especially for those that engage in trading businesses.

Speaking earlier, a community leader in the area, Lion Okon Edoho thanked Pastor Abia for his consistency and commitment to the progress of the community and urged him to continue to trust God for something bigger. Lion Edoho extended his appreciation to Governor Udom Emmanuel for finding their son worthy to serve in his administration and advised the youth and the people of Esit Eket to give his administration their unflinching support. 

In her remarks, Evang (Hon) Ekaette Isaiah Abia who is also a member of Esit Eket Transition Committee thanked the people of Ward 4 especially the women for the support they gave to Udom Emmanuel and advised them not to discriminate as there is no APC and PDP but Akwa Ibom people after the Supreme Court judgement. She stated that the wife of the governor is empowering the women and that Esit Eket will be fully accommodated. 

Others speaking at the event were the Chairman of the Village Council, Elder Etim Abraham, Mrs. Mary Okon John, Chief Samuel Ntekim, PDP Ward Secretary, Ime Udobio and others. The meeting was attended by the political class in the area, women, elders, and youth from the 13 villages in the Ward. Insight Nigeria bring you pictures of the event.
