The university of Lagos Alumni Association, Lagos state branch who were on courtesy visitation to HON Ephraim INYANG, commissioner for works Akwa Ibom State, honored him today when former lecturers and colleagues visited him in his office in UYO. The team led by the chairman, Prof Ayodele O. Ogundele has Alhaji Ganiyu Alimson, Mr Olusegun Adeleke, Dr Bolajoko Dixon- Ogbechi and Mr Oladimeji Olufemi.
In his presentation, the ...chairman said they are grateful to God for the success of Governor Udom Emmanuel at the Supreme Court which brought about the appointment of their own as HON commissioner for works in AKWA Ibom State Executive Council. He said it is a thing of pride to have an Alumni of Unilag in such high profile office , the chairman recalled that Mr Ephraim INYANG is a Best Performing student award winner of the University and encourage him to perform ultimately using the wealth of knowledge that was impacted on him by the University of Lagos.
Also speaking was a lecturer Dr Bolajoko Dixon who said HON Ephraim INYANG made her proud having been the best student in her department, she asked God to bless him even as she said the commissioner should see himself as an Ambassador of the Alumni of their Association. In his response, HON Ephraim INYANG said that the visit is an honor to him and the ministry and thank Governor Udom Emmanuel for finding him fit to serve in his government as commissioner for works. He promised to use his office to serve God and humanity and thank the alumni for the visit. Mr Ephraim INYANG said the award he got from the University is the most valuable thing he had ever got.
Dr IFREKE EKPA was excited to see the visitors and said that Unites is center of excellence and a citadel that churned out high intellectuals, Dr IFREKE mentioned that His Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel, the State chief Judge, Head of civil Service and HON Ephraim INYANG are proud products of the University of Lagos. He congratulated the commissioner for the Award and thank the Alumni for the visit.
