FRANK ARCHIBONG EMERGES CHAIR OF CHAIR IN A'IBOM

The newly inaugurated Transition Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, Hon. Frank Archibong has emerged the Chairman of all Transition Chairmen in Akwa Ibom State. Hon Frank emerged during the inauguration of the 31 Transition Chairmen in the state today by the governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel.

Meanwhile, the Transition Committee Chairman of Eket Local Government Area who is the Chair of all Transition Chairmen has also inaugurated Transition Committee Members in Eket Local Government Area. In his speech, the Chairman thanked the people of Eket for their support to his administration in the past one year of his tenure as Transition Committee Chairman and solicited for more support and cooperation for him to succeed. He thanked the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel for finding him worthy to lead the people of Eket again after earlier serving as their Chairman and promised to justify the mandate given to him.

Hon. Frank urged the people of Eket Local Governmnet Area to continue to give their support and loyalty to the administration of Udom Emmanuel as he meant well for the people of Eket and indeed the entire Akwa Ibom people. He stated that even with mean resources in the state since the assumption of office of Deacon Udom Emmanuel that the governor has performed creditably and that Eket people and the entire Akwa Ibom State will ensure that he lead the state for eight good years as the people will benefit a lot.

The Chairman charged the youth to be law abiding and peaceful as there are government programs that will benefit the youth as he will ensure that no section of the Local Government Area is excluded in any empowerment programmes of the present administration.

The event was witnessed by Eket PDP Chapter Chairman, Obong Iwaad Emmanuel Mbong, Chapter Woman Leader, Hon. Emem Francis, party officers at the local government and ward level, women groups, youths, friends and supporters.

AKWA IBOM CHILD RIGHTS LAW

The Akwa Ibom State Child Rights Law The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, on 5th December, 2008 signed the child rights act into law to protect the growth of perceptual, emotional, intellectual, and behavioural capabilities and functioning during childhood of Akwa Ibom children under 16 years.
