It was a moment of celebration as the Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Aniefiok Iwaudofia dedicate his first son, Aniefiok Iwaudofia Jnr in church. The event which took place at The Eagle Assembly Church, Osong Ama in Uyo have in attendance the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.
In his message of appreciation, the Chief Host, Comrade Iwaudofia thanked God for His grace toward his family and making him and his wife to be proud parent to a beautiful family of two daughters and a son. He expressed appreciation to God for bringing him in contact with the governor of Akwa Ibom State who happened to be his boss and mentor.
"I give God thanks for making us to be proud parent for a beautiful family He has given us. Let me use this opportunity to thank my boss and mentor, the father of the youth of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel for giving the youth of the state opportunity to serve in both elected and appointed position in government," he stated.
Iwaudofia particularly mentioned the excellent performance of the Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ini Ememobong as a justification of the confidence that the governor have in youth mainstreaming in political leadership and governance, emphasizing that Akwa Ibom youth have become a reference point to other youths in the country.
Speaking further, Comrade Iwaudofia took to memory lane how God have used Mr. Israel Utit, Engr. Ignatius Edet, Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, Elder Ufot Ebong and His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel to favoured him after the mother died and left him and his siblings at a tender age. He also thanked other people who have stood with him from the beginning and promised never to let them down as he will continue to serve wholeheartedly as God will give him the grace. He also thanked his biological father, Mr. Iwaudofia for honouring him as a son by attending the church service after thirty years of staying outside other churches apart from his denomination, the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.
In his remarks, the governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel appreciated the leadership of The Eagle Assembly for raising the youth of the state through his pastoral teaching. He urged the youth to be humble as God will continue to raise them up. The governor said that he met Aniefiok Iwaudofia at Elder Ufot Ebong's house and fell in love with him, that he has seen in him humility and made a pronouncement that God will continue to give him higher offices to serve in the state even as a Commissioner. The governor urged the youth to be humble and seek God's face so as to be exalted.
"Every humble beginning will take you to an exalted end. Do not allow your background to determine your ending. What we need is a paradigm shift. You must be respected as a youth when you have a second address. Don't lift a weight with one hand. You can only lift a weight with two hands. That is why we are laying a solid foundation for the youth of Akwa Ibom State through AKEES, Dakkada Initiative and other development programmes. We will not leave you (the youth) in the middle of the sea," he submitted.
Earlier, in his homily on the topic: The Dimension of God's Grace, the Senior Pastor of The Eagle Assembly, Pastor Uwem Offiong, highlighted the three dimension of God's help to include the grace to start, continue and finish. He stated that God's grace will make people to finish all they have started if they continue to look on to God who is the great helper.
The event featured praise and worship session, song ministration by the choir, while prayers was offered for the state. Dignitaries that were in attendance include the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Barr) Onofiok Luke, the Secretary to State Government, Sir Etekamba Umoren, Permanent Secretaries, the Chairman of ALGON, Hon. Frank Archibong, Sen. Anietie Okon, Sir Val Attah, Hon. Owoidighe Ekpoattai, Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, Rt. Hon. Barr. Ime Okon, Mr Akan Okon, Engr. Etido Inyang and Elder Ufot Ebong.
Others are Hon. Emmanuel Bassey, Prince Godwn Ntukudeh, SSA Sam Edoho, Ime Uwah, other top government officials, Akwa Ibom Female Youth, and other organizations.
