The Transition Committee Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, Mr. Frank Archibong said that the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel has done well for the people of Akwa Ibom State in his two years in office and will exceed the people expectations at the end of his tenure in 2023.
The Eket Council boss stated this yesterday during the commissioning of Eket-Ibeno Road by the governor as part of activities to mark the governor two years in office. The ALGON Chairman noted that the people of Eket owe the governor a debt of gratitude the construction of Eket-Ibeno Road saying that the governor has kept to his campaign promises. Hon Frank Archibong maintained that the people of Eket Federal Constituency are satisfied with the giant strides recorded by the governor and that the people will give him the necessary support that he needed to succeed in 2019 governorship election.

"Your Excellency, you have done us proud and we in Eket will give you
the necessary support for you to continue in office beyond 2019. For us,
it is two down six to go", he stated.
In his opening remarks, the Commissioner for Works, Mr Ephraim Inyang expressed gratitude to the governor for keeping faith with the people and delivering on his campaign promises.
The member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Usoro Akpan Usoh in his goodwill message praises the governor for meeting the expectations of the people and pledged the support of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly to continue to give him all the legislative backing to fulfill his mandate in 2023.
Also speaking, the Chairman Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty, Owong Dr. Effiong Archianga, the Paramount Ruler of Ibeno commended the governor for his political will to construct the road which was in total disrepair and have been abandoned by successive administration. He urged the Federal Government through NDDC to do quality work in the state and ensure that all abandoned projects by the commission is completed.
While commissioning the 19.5 km Eket-Ibeno Road, the governor of Akwa Ibom State noted that the road remain the only road that lead to multinational oil company operating in the state that the federal government should please refund all money that the state has expended on federal roads stating that the people of Akwa Ibom State deserves more than what they get for being the highest oil producing state in the country.
