Hon. This ugly incident has continued to raised questions as to the legality of these taskforce. I think it's time to nip these issues and perpetrators in the bud in line with the enabling laws of the land.
Condemning the incident in totality, the Ukanafun mouthpiece also appealed that the House consider the enactment of enabling laws that would stop further occurrence of such incidents in the state, calling on the state government and other related agencies to hastily bring the perpetrators of such crimes to book to serve as deterrent.

He stated that Ibesikpo Asutan do not have peace any longer because of the activities of task force and called on the House look into the case to determine if it is from the State or the local government.
"I see no reason why some people should be pursuing a moving vehicle how much more dragging a steering with the driver which caused the death of that woman. We will not run this state on the ground of illegality", he submitted. He therefore called on the Commissioner for Transport and Petroleum Matters to issue a statement banning all Task Force in the state.
