NASARAWA ASSEMBLY ASKS CJ TO DISBAND PANEL

Nasarawa Assembly asks CJ to disband impeachment panel The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has directed the state’s Chief Judge, Justice Sulaiman Dikko, to dissolve a seven-man panel he set up to investigate allegations against the State Governor, Alhaji Tanko Al-Makura. The Chairman of the House Committee on Information and Security, Baba Ibaku, disclosed this in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Lafia, the state capital on Monday. Ibaku said the lawmakers took the decision because members of the panel were loyalists of the All Progressives Congress in the state. This, he said, was against the provision of the Section 188 of the 1999 Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. He said, “We had an emergency sitting to deliberate on the seven-man panel that was set up by the state Chief Judge, Justice Umaru Auleiman Dikko on Friday, last week. We asked him to dissolve the seven-man panel because the members of the panel are APC members that hold v

PLOT TO IMPEACH OBAMA WILL FAIL

Why I Really Hope Republicans Try to Impeach President Obama  By  Allen Clifton   Essentially since President Obama was elected, Republicans have been trying to find a way to get him kicked out of office.  At first he wasn’t a “real American.”  That nonsense mostly faded a few years back.  Though sadly, many Republicans still doubt that he’s an actual American citizen. But mostly it’s been talk of impeachment.  I’ve honestly forgotten more reasons conservatives have given as to why he should be impeached than I can even remember. Though I don’t think a day goes by where I don’t see some conservative, on some source of media, suggest that impeachment is either an option or what they believe should happen. And I’m at a point now to where I say bring it on.  Stop talking about it and actually go through with it.  If he’s been so “tyrannical and unconstitutional,” then what the hell are they waiting for? Oh, I know, the midterm elections. See,  according to a recent poll

The debate before the vote featured Democrats calling the lawsuit stupid and a waste of time, while Republicans claimed that they had no idea what the Democrats were talking about. Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) said that the lawsuit was an attempt to placate the birthers and the tea partiers, but they will never be satisfied. He also said that Republicans are devastated that the ACA is working. McGovern said, “This is show business at its worst. Enough of this stupidity.” Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-NC) called Boehner’s lawsuit an abuse of power. He said, “I know what you’re doing. The American people know what you are doing. You are using this lawsuit in your neverending campaign to discredit President Obama.” Democratic Leader Pelos
