YOUTH AND LEADERSHIP: INGREDIENTS FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP - DR. AHMED ADAMU

Speech delivered by Dr. Ahmed Adamu during the Inaugural meeting of the National Youth Centre for Change and Positive Re-Orientation of Nigeria (YCC-PRO), at Stonehedge Hotel, Abuja on Sunday 20th March 2016. For us to discuss leadership, we have to know what leadership is and what it is not. Leadership is not about government positions or authority, it is not about labels. Leadership is about action, creating way for others to live to the potentials, doing something to make better the lives of the people, and it is about serving others. So you do not need to be in government for you to be a leader. MY INSPIRATION TO SERVE YOU AS GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE 2016–2020 - CHIEF SOLOMON EDIBIRI

MY INSPIRATION TO SERVE YOU AS GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE 2016 – 2020 My inspiration is born out of the potentials available in Edo State which include Human, natural and mineral resources. “I KNOW HOW TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER IRRESPECTIVE OF DIVERSE BACKGROUND TO USE AVAILABLE RESOURCES TO ATTAIN A COMMON GOAL”. - ‪#‎ thechangewewant‬ I want to serve you as Governor of Edo State because I am no seasonal politician, but a concerned citizen who has seen that instead of the state progressing, the state is regressing. Our university graduates no longer have jobs waiting for them like in the past. Our State lacks any industry to either accept people for employment or even internship. It is worrisome that a State prefers to remain a consumer nation instead of an export nation which can only be made possible through production of goods and services. Our State, Edo, is now fragmented across North, Central and Southern lines. Without federal allocations, the state cannot su

RELATIVES SUSPECT FOUL PLAY IN THE DEATH OCHOLI, WIFE, SON

Subscribe free to Daily Post Newsletter Family members of the late Minister of state for Labour, James Ocholi, who died along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway on Sunday alongside his wife, Blessing; and son, Joshua, are suspecting something fishy about the unfortunate incident.Ocholi’s uncle, Abdallah Aliu; another relative, Paul Audu; and the immediate younger sister to the late Blessing, who did not want her name in print, insisted that the driver must be investigated since the driver of a car that somersaulted several times would ordinarily be unconscious and would not take photographs of the deceased and upload them on social media. Speaking yesterday, they also contended that the driver and the orderly should have cordoned off the place and evacuated the corpses as this had been the tradition whenever a VIP was involved in an accident. According to Aliu, “Distinguished Senator Ngige, I know you very well. When James Ocholi was told to work with you, I knew h
